Video: InTransit Audio Don’t Pay To Play Motherfucker

This ‘battle’ was conducted by how many tickets the band sold. The first event at O’Connells was off the hook. All our friends showed up and we rocked the place. The show cost each member of the band between $50 and $100 to consolidate ticket prices for friends. Since we ‘won’ the first round we got to continue on to the next round which was the show at Brick By Brick.

The ticket prices for the Brick By Brick show were $15 with a price break at 80 and 100. So… what Emergenza expects bands to do are sell overpriced tickets to their friends and/or buy them and give the tickets out in hopes of ‘winning’ to go onto the next round. It’s our honest opinion that these types of SCAMS prey upon bands and benefit no one. We will no longer tolerate or promote such events.

InTransit Audio WILL NOT pay to play. Nor will we charge our friends/fans $15 to come watch a 25 minute set on their Friday night. So what we did was hand all the tickets to the event organizer (we didn’t sell a single ticket), went up on stage, and dropped it for the 10 people in the room. I don’t think anyone checked on it but I’m pretty sure after a revised version of “Let Me Go” we didn’t win…….

InTransit Audio is a coalition of professionals and we wish to be treated so. We will show respect to those who offer it to us, and those who promote BULLSHIT SCAMS like Emergenza will receive no mercy from us.

Thanks again to Brick By Brick for letting us play their venue and to DJ Corbiz just for being alive.

We tried our best to respectfully comply. After discovering that it was essentially paying to play…we agreed that they should suck our balls :)
